I couldn't wait to get this model, but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. Not only was it a cool sculpt, but it was produced in a new resin that was super awesome to work with. It made crisp details, and was very easy to work with unlike the standard Privateer Press plastic/resin mix. The sculpt was also very well designed for production, with almost no visible mold lines. Those that were present were very easy to remove.
Dozer is absolutely massive, so felt he would look better on a more substantial base. I think that aid of well here.
Dozer is sporting armor and weapons looted from battlefield spoils. The random splashes of blue suggest his armor came from Cygnaran sources- probably destroyed warjacks. And naturally the cannon is Khadoran, with a hint of red.
I gave everything a rusted, dirty, and worn look. This guy basically screams "walking World War I tank" so I figured it should have that grimy, rusty look.
For some reason, I have yet to use this guy in a game. He just doesn't quite fit with the armies I've been playing lately. But he'll definitely see play soon. In the meantime, thanks as always for looking!
I really like how different this model is in look & feel to the other troll beasts. I wish they had done the same kind of thing instead of the new ice colossal. Like, it didn't have to be a huge guy with a gun or whatever, but something new that isn't just a big mulg with ice on him.
