Batrep #31: Slow Grow Campaign Week 2

Tau 4 Eva and I squared off in week two of our Lost Worlds Campaign.

In all fairness, bringing Nob Bikers to a 500 point game seems a little like cheating, but that is the only way I can build a list using ONLY Kult of Speed units.  My goal is to build an Ork collection with NOTHING on foot.  Am I handicapping myself before I even start the game?  So far, it doesn't look like it.

I'll have a video for week one up shortly.  Dustin and I forgot to shoot one for our game (and my Bikers were only half painted).  The plan is to follow my Boyz throughout the League through the video batreps.  Stay tuned for more!

  1. Hello,

In the youtube commments, it is mentionned that the mission rules/pack is available on the blog/forums but I can't seem to be able to find it. I'd be interested in a copy to play locally.

    Thanks

    2. Thanks for the quick reply, I had found the thread you mention. But I still don't see the specific mission rules or maybe those are not available online ?

What I see are the "main" rules for the league and the fluff for the planet but no specific mission description ?

In one of your post you state
      """
FYI, I dropped off the record sheets (painting and games) with Damien earlier. They are behind the front counter. He also has the Mission Packet for this phase (the next two weeks). <...>
      """

I'm interested in this "Mission Packet" ? I'm guessing it describes the missions/deployement/scoring/...

Maybe it's obvious but my command of the english language is not that good, so maybe it's a case of hidden in plain sight.

      Thanks again

    3. Follow this link for the rules for participation in the League. It covers rules for collecting points for games and painting.

Every two weeks, the players can pick up the new Mission packet at Gamers Sanctuary, where we play all League games. It contains the details about the actual games to be played during that Phase.

We also encourage players to post their "fluff" submissions on the blog to add to the story.

    4. Thanks again for the reply, my question is : are those "Mission Pack" (in the document it says : "<...> Mission Pack, containing mission details and relevant elements of the narrative <...>") available online now or will they be after ?

Maybe I wasn't clear about the fact that I'm not a local player (in fact I'm from Europe).

      Thanks

  2. We usually just hand them out at the store. I can see if Phil, the story and mission author, can upload them for you. If you want, you can PM me with your email on the forum and I'll send you the pdfs directly.

  3. It's great seeing the effectiveness of your bikes. The challenge will come when your opponent mounts his heavy shooters in buildings/ruins that cannot be knocked down...

  4. Why don't you just put ALL my weaknesses out there! The hope is that I can still shoot the heck out if them. Bikes can drop an enormous number if shots on the table and are quite effective doing so.

  5. We're in the same boat - my Scarabs are "beasts" and cannot climb buildings...
