haha, it was really simple actually. Use a cellphone camera with no flash, take a photo, crop out the "edges" of the space hulk as best as possible (the walls with no tops).
Convert to black and white, do the "automagic" level adjustment in Photoshop or Paint.Net to give it a really bright overexposed look. Then do the effect "noise" until it looks good.
I reckon you could put in the green-light overlays like they do in IA books sometimes too.
These look pro as hell.
