Codex Specific Templates

After playing with the new templates produced by GW for my Necron army, I quickly tired of the baby-blue power lines in the middle and the bland silver exterior finish.

After the game I placed the templates carefully in the Necron Stasis Chambers (carrying case) along with my Necron army.  A few days later I opened the bag to find that the Necrons had been busy converting the templates to Gauss weaponry.

.
Green power lines, bright green highlights, Thrakka Green wash and a splash of silver, red and gold.

  2. Thanks!

Large and easy to handle, they were some of the easiest 40k items I've ever painted - I'd recommended it to all skill levels. You can add as much or as little detail as you like.

If you try it, make sure you wash them well before applying paint (lots of mold release).

  3. That's a cool idea. I'm sure everybody thought I was goofy when I made my own Warmachine templates out of paper and laminating sheets, but they were FREE! Maybe I can dress up some of the old clear pie-plates I have laying around.
